This product includes cloud variables (tcc, bcc, sci, vor, voe, zcb, cbe, cdp, cde) provided by sensor measurement software.
Limitations: Sensor measurement software given cloud base altitude indicates base of any hydrometeors. Thus it tends to indicate base of precipitation/drizzle rather than liquid cloud base altitude, but seems to find ice cloud bases reliably. For more complete cloud type and hydrometeor identification, the data user is referred to product sups_joy_cln00_l4_class in the HD(CP)2 data base.
