FAQ
Where can I find an introduction to the usage of the data center?
As an entry point we provide the following document, that explains data formats, structure and tools of our data center: How to use the ICDC (pdf, not barrier free)
When is the data center not available?
There is a regular maintenance slot for adding new data sets and features to our data base on every Thursday from 3 to 5 p.m MET. You can still use our data center during this time frame, but some interruptions while accessing our data sets might occur.
What online tools are available?
Our tools are explained in the page data center structure and our tutorials page.

The built-in OPeNDAP support from version 2012a on can not handle SSL. If "https" appears in the URL, you have to omit the "s". So just try the link with "http".
Can I also map the data as a network drive under Windows or Mac OS?
Yes, while data is mounted automatically on CEN Unix servers and workstations, you can manually mount it under Windows and Mac OS X.
Can I access internal data form the outside as a CliCCS member?
Yes, ICDC can set up an individual account for CliCCS members. Then you can access internal data sets, that are normally just available inside the CENnetwork, as described in this tutorial.
Who do I contact if there are errors?
