Metadata Input Form

ICDC collects and publishes measured data that has been collected at CEN, CLICCS, MPIfM or in a project of our partners. The decision of which data is published is made by the ICDC team. Please use the ICDC contact form for questions.

This form is used to enter the metadata for your data set if you want to publish the data via ICDC. The data is forwarded to ICDC by email and processed there manually. The sender's email address is used for queries and to discuss the transfer of the data.

Please read the instructions carefully and have a look at the examples. All fields marked with * are mandatory. You can leave the optional fields blank. Contact ICDC if you have any questions. The data will be sent per email to ICDC (Annika) and can not be stored in this form for further hadling.

Your Name

The surname and family name of the Person, who put in the meta data.

Your Email

Data set title

The title should be unique and a good description. This could include the campaign, the location, the variables, and the instrument.

For example: "Short term observations, absolute humidity data of Microwave radiometer (no. 00), HOPE campaign by LACROS, data version 00"

Data set version

Persistent Identifier

Put in the DOI or other persitent identifier, if there exists one already.

Data set should get a DOI at FDM

ICDC provides this service only for members of the mentioned groups. Your data will be uploaded to FDM. We do this manually and it might take a number of days to finish this.

Data set description

What shoud the user know about your data set? This will be shown as data set description.

E.g. "This data set contains ... The data was measured during time period ... at ... with instrument(s) ... The purpose of the project was ... The experimental setup looked like this ... The special thing about this data is ... The data is structured as follows ... "

Description of data set quality

Add a few words about error information, uncertainties, quality information, data gaps. What is the data suitable for and what shouldn't be done with it?
