The LAP3000 1290 MHz wind profiler is installed at the CESAR observatory ( http://www.cesar-observatory.nl ). The profiler wind Doppler spectra are post processed using a Multiple Peak Processing algorithm developed at KNMI. Half hourly profiles of consensus averaged wind speed and directions are calculated. The consensus winds are quality controlled with a Weber-Wuertz based continuity check. Low mode data (60 m vertical sample interval, 100 m resolution) are used up to 1500 m, high mode data (200 m sample interval and 400 m resolution) are used above 1500 m.
