Several tiles of the MCD43B3 (combined MODIS Aqua/Terra 16-day white-sky surface albedo at 1 km horizontal resolution) and accompanying MCD43B2 (MODIS Aqua/Terra BRDF/Albedo quality information) products are merged to produce 1 file that covers the HD(CP)2 full domain. Band1=0.47 micron, Band2=0.555 micron, Band3=0.67 micron, Band4=0.858 micron, Band5=1.24 micron, Band6=1.64 micron, Band7=2.13 micron, Bandvis=0.3-0.7 micron, Bandnir=0.7-5.0 micron, Bandshortwave=0.3-5.0.
Limitations: land-only, in case of too high cloudiness during the 16-day period for certain pixels, no surface albedo is provided for those pixels.
Provenance: MODIS Aqua/Terra MCD43B2 and MCD43B3 products via http://ladsweb.nascom.nasa.gov/data/search.html
Comments: Several tiles of the MCD43B3 (MODIS Aqua/Terra 16-day white-sky surface albedo at 1 km horizontal resolution) and accompanying MCD43B2 (MODIS Aqua/Terra BRDF/Albedo quality information) products are merged to produce 1 file that covers the HD(CP)2 full domain. BRDF is the bidirectional reflectance distribution function and describes reflectance on opaque surfaces. Used MODIS-channels: Band1=0.47 micron, Band2=0.555 micron, Band3=0.67 micron, Band4=0.858 micron, Band5=1.24 micron, Band6=1.64 micron, Band7=2.13 micron, Bandvis=0.3-0.7 micron, Bandnir=0.7-5.0 micron, Bandshortwave=0.3-5.0 micron.
