Long-term: Local observations (sups-*)
The SAMD archive provides data of different meteorological Observatories. These so called Supersites consist of a multitude of different measurement instruments at one location - local observation. Not only the large number of instruments is specific for the meteorological observatories, but the sustained, long term, often operational measurements with a high quality level. The Supersites yield detailed information about the atmosphere's physical structure from the ground up to the stratosphere.
