Short Term Observations
HD(CP)² includes the "HD(CP)² Observational Prototype Experiment" (HOPE), which was designed to provide a critical model evaluation at the scale of the model simulations and further to provide information on sub grid variability and microphysical properties that are subject to parameterizations even at high-resolution simulations.
The campaign was splitted into the main part in Jülich (May-June 2013), and a second part in Melpitz (Sept. 2014), including the helicopter-based measurement platform of aerosol and cloud microphysics and turbulence (ACTOS).
Furthermore the data base provides data sets from an Intensive Observation Period (IOP) in Lindenberg in June/July 2014.
The HALO Campaign contains aircraft measurements, on the one hand from the winter of 2013/2014 with flights to Barbados over the Arctic North Atlantic and on the other hand from the summer of 2016, which were carried out in Barbados.
The data from the FesstVaL campaigns from the summers of 2019 to 2021 have also been added.
