Subproject 3: Target variable guided preperation of vulnerabilty and governance factors
Subproject goals:
This subproject deals with the overall question, if multi-stressors for urban health are strengthened or mitigated by special features and processes of the urban system. The focus is on the following aspects:
- Cities are structurally, socially and naturally heterogeneous and the beneficial and disadvantageous factors for urban health as well as their interactions are not fully known. Moreover, since the access to vital and healthy (living) conditions and infrastructures is unequally distributed, questions about environmental justice and vulnerability can be asked.
- It is therefore (with regard to the activity patterns of the inhabitants) in question which factors are positive and which factors have a negative effect on the "city quality".
- From a spatial perspective, the following questions are also of particular interest: Which areas of benefit and stress can be used as a basis for defining areas with particular exposures? How does the socio-spatial affect the adaptation capacities?
Based on these analyzes, a regionalization of the city is to be developed, which can be used for "health governance", for example.
