Description

Several 5 minute segments of one orbit of MODIS/Aqua of the daily SST at 1 km horizontal resolution are merged to produce files that cover parts of the HD(CP)2 full domain.

• Descriptive Instrument location: MODIS onboard satellites Terra and Aqua: sun-synchronous, near-polar, circular orbit with 16-day repeat cycle, 1 km resolution and 2330 km swath width. The local equatorial crossing time is approximately 10:30 a.m. in a descending node.
