Workshops
Our workshops provide a platform for scientific discussions and the transfer of expert knowledge.
Energy transfers in Atmosphere and Ocean 2016
The workshop deals with the energy cycle in atmosphere and ocean, consistent models, closures and numerics, bringing together meteorology, physical oceanography, applied mathematics and astrophysics. It will support the preparation of the SFB/Transregio 181.
The workshop takes places in Hamburg, Völkerkunde Museum, Großer Hörsaal at the 11-13 April, 2016 and will be financed by the Universität Hamburg.

Fundamentals of climate, atmosphere and ocean dynamics
The workshop put together applied mathematicians and physicists, together with meteorologists and oceanographers, to consider fundamental problems in climate, atmosphere and ocean dynamics, and in particular geophysical fluid dynamics, including topics such as stability of flows, turbulence, dynamical systems, stochastic dynamics and mathematical models of biology.
The workshop was held in May 12-14, 2014 in Hamburg and was organized by Gualtiero Badin.
