Profiles were measured by the IPM rotational Raman lidar at the KITcube site during HOPE campaign. Raw profiles were first smoothed by a gliding average over 105 m and then calibrated to temperature values. 10 s temperature data is averaged for hour x from x-1:30 to x:30 UTC to achieve profiles up to 3 km with statistical errors less than 1 K. Statistical error was determined by applying Poisson statistics on the photon count rates. This is only the noise error, no error concerning the representability of the profile for the whole hour.
Limitations: Profiles contain only data between 500 and 3000 m. In the near range small deviations due to overlap effects are possible. In and above clouds temperature measurements are not possible.
