The KNMI HATPRO radiometer is installed at the Cabauw Observatory and operated since May 2006. From the zenith brightness temperatures measured by the radiometer the integrated cloud liquid water is retrieved using statistical quadratic regression algorithm based on 10 year De Bilt radiosonde datset. The radiometer is calibrated with liquid nitrogen at half yearly intervals.
Limitations: data unreliable during rainfall
Provenance: CESAR (www.cesar-database.nl)
