Supporting Young Science
The prize money is provided by the Gesellschaft Harmonie von 1789 e.V. The Gesellschaft Harmonie is an institution in Hamburg – and its members are commited to sustainable social engagement. “We want to reinforce Hamburg’s standing as a center for climate research. And we particularly want to provide support for young researchers. Our hope is that the prize will give them additional motivation and support their budding careers,” says Otto Bischoff from the Gesellschaft Harmonie.
In the past years, CEN and the Gesellschaft Harmonie von 1789 e.V. have already worked together through the Partnerstädtepreis: The climate issue is more comprehensive. Therefore the Young Climate Scientists Award is also open for research topics in economics and social sciences.
