Extension of MODIS sea surface temperature

We extended the MODIS sea surface temperature (SST) data sets for both, Terra and Aqua based on thermal infrared imaging until including February 2024. These global data sets come with approximately 0.05 degree grid resolution. For more information see:

We extended the v2.1 Reynolds optimum interpolation sea surface temperature (OISST) data set until including September 2024. We offer daily data, monthly data and anomalies with respect to 1982-2001 and 1992-2011 for 40+ years. For more information visit:
