Upgrade of EN4 ocean temperature and salinity data set

We upgraded the entire EN4 ocean temperature and salinity data set based on hydrographic in-situ observations in the global oceans from version 4.2.1 to version 4.2.2. Besides being based on a more recent version of the world ocean data base (WOD18), the main novelty is the revised bias correction after Gouretski and Cheng (2020). We offer global monthly maps of the analyses at 1 degree grid resolution and the respective profiles. The data set covers the period 1900-01 through 2021-12. For more information visit:

Extension of MODIS land cover type

We extended the TERRA/AQUA-MODIS Land Cover Type product MCD12C1. It is now available for years 2001 through 2023 as annual maps with 0.05 degrees grid resolution; for more information see:

Extension of MODIS Land Surface Temperature (LST)

We extended the Terra and Aqua MODIS land surface temperature (LST) data sets. These global data sets come at monthly and daily temporal and with 0.05 degree grid resolution and cover years 2000 (2002 for Aqua) through February 2025. For more information see:
