Extension of DWD RADOLAN precipitation data

The ICDC took the heavy rain events in July as an occasion to expand the time series of precipitation data from radar measurements of the DWD already available in the SAMD archive. The hourly rain rate data is updated daily until midnight of the previous day and is available for internal use. The data was converted to NetCDF and is available in a grid with 1km resolution. Please refer to the DWD documentation for the coordinates.

Extension of sea-ice concentration data

We extended two sea-ice concentration data sets: the IFREMER-ICDC ASI-algorithm sea-ice concentration data set until 2024-12-31; this data set comes at 12.5 km grid resolution on a polarstereographic grid and begins 1991-12-05:

Extension of GPCC Monitoring Product

We extended the GPCC Monitoring Product of monthly global land-surface precipitation V.2022 by data of five months. This data set is currently available at 1 degree grid resolution for the time period January 1982 until September 2024.
