Prof. Stefan Bühler from the Meteorological Institute at Universität Hamburg was part of a successful bid for securing funding for a new research project within the framework of the new European Union funding program Horizon 2020. The project, entitled "Fidelity and Uncertainty in Climate Data Records from Earth Observations" (FIDUCEO), seeks to recallibrate important data collected by weather satellites in order to render them useful for climate research.
