From April 27th to May 2nd the City of Vienna hosts the General Assembly of the European Geosciences Union (EGU 2014). Members of CEN and the Cluster of Excellence "Integrated Climate System Analysis and Prediction" (CliSAP) will hold 16 lectures und present 26 posters.
For the fist time, Europe´s most important gathering of geoscientists is lead by a theme: "The Face of the Earth". The organizers intend to draw the attention to the diversity of geosciences – not only by choosing a general theme but also by reflecting this diversity in five subtopics: "Rocks of the Earth", "Waters of the Earth", "Life of the Earth", "Atmosphere of the Earth" and "Space and the Earth".
Scientists of CliSAP and CEN contribute several lectures and posters.
