Upgrade of the Operating System

We will upgrade all Linux sytems to a new version from time to time. When this time comes, the users will be informed per email.

Usually, the user has to do a backup of the local disk (/scratch/local1) and the Linux OS upgrade will be done remotely, lasting for about 1-2 hours. 

After the upgrade, if problems arise, simply contact our Helpdesk.
