Instructions for contacting CEN-IT by e-mail
If you have IT-related problems that are not discussed in the support or the FAQ, you can contact us via helpdesk.cen"AT"uni-hamburg.de or fill out the form at the bottom of this page.
Information that will help us resolve your request:
- Your name, the room number and your phone number. If you are writing from a different address, please also provide us with your primary e-mail address.
- The namen of your pc (Attached on top for PCs and on the bottom for laptops) and the operating system (Windows or Linux)
- A detailled description of the problem and if possible an error message / code.
- An indication of how the problem occurred. What did you do and when exactly did it happen?
- What measures have you already taken yourself to solve the problem?
Please also note what you should NOT do:
- When replying to our e-mail, avoid inserting the complete correspondence as a quotation. If possible, only the part to which you refer should be added as a quotation.
- Very long signatures should be shortened. In our ticket system it can become very confusing if the signatures are too long.
